YOGA: Integrate to feel great
The word YOGA means "union or integration".
Yoga is the science of becoming whole.
Yoga can be used for many purposes, depending upon what you want: from improving strength and flexibility, reducing stress and aiding relaxation, restoring health, to unravelling your spiritual truth.
At Yoga plus Therapies we practice and teach a style of yoga. which is based both upon classical yoga, including practices from Ayurveda, Raja, Hatha and Tantra yoga, and also modern scientific principles, allowing the practice to be SAFE, effective and relevant for today.
The yoga is taught in levels of difficulty from easy to challenging, which allows YOU to do the yoga practice according to your health, fitness, and needs. This means that it is both suitable to beginners and the more experienced.
The style of yoga is based upon Vinyasa Krama, meaning that the practices FLOW in a orderly and logical way, allowing the body and mind to warm up and be prepared for the more advance practices. This helps eliminate risk of injury and maximise progress.
Each yoga class usually includes breathing practices, conditioning exercises, physical exercises called asana, and relaxation. Sometimes meditation is also included.
As a yoga class member you will also receive our monthly eNews, which includes valuable health tips, philosophy and ongoing events.
